President Biden acknowledged on Wednesday that American bombs have been used to kill Palestinian civilians as he warned that the United States would withhold certain weapons if Israel launches a long-threatened assault in southern Gaza. “If they go into Rafah, I’m not supplying the weapons that have been used historically to deal with Rafah, to deal with the cities, that deal with that problem,” Mr. Biden said in an interview with CNN’s Erin Burnett. Mr. Biden had resisted earlier calls to condition aid to Israel. Mr. Biden said he had made it clear to Mr. Netanyahu and his war cabinet that they would not get support if they moved forward with an offensive in densely populated areas. Asked if he hears the message of those young Americans, Mr. Biden said:“Absolutely, I hear the message.”

Their friends from a local public high school had been talking about discrimination against Latinos. Did the pastor agree? Looking back, I think being a single mom was hard. However, I think today's solo parents have a more difficult time due to the pressures of social media. We adopted our boys in 2012 and 2013, and there was a Facebook mom group for everything. I sometimes wonder how my experience parenting my daughter in the 90s would have been made better or worse by the presence of social media. My experience with Facebook mom groups has taught me that they're mostly a place of judgment and one-upmanship.

A young Shaolin monk runs horizontally across a wall, intense concentration, and perhaps a hint of astonishment, visible in his face. Four other trainees at a martial arts academy near the Shaolin Temple in China’s Henan province lounge nonchalantly, seemingly unaware of the gravity-defying action taking place above their heads. “There’s this high-level action,” photographer Steve McCurry told CNN of the photo’s composition in a video call from his home in Philadelphia. The Shaolin Temple – which was founded in AD 495 on the slopes of the sacred Mount Song – is said to be the home of Chan Buddhism. Today, Shaolin kung fu is widely known, and the monks’ feats in athleticism have been emulated in popular movies.

We are out of balance because we don't see beyond the binaries, we don't see how no matter the gender, feminine and masculine exist within each of us. He taught me masculine thingsOn a camping trip when I was 4 years old, Dad sat with his friend while I played with his friend's 3-year-old son. "Stand up for yourself," Dad urged with his eyes, and when I didn't, the boy hit me again and again. When I looked at Dad the third time, he said, "Hit him on the damn nose!" Dad was deliberate in fostering the masculine in his daughters, and he wasn't the only source of that messaging.
